In the past, we saw several nuclear accidents such as Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant Accident in US, Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Accident in Russia, and the construction of nuclear power plant was being held back. However, against the increased global warming, the construction resumed again due to its low emission of CO2.
But 3 years ago we went through 3.11 Fukushima Nuclear Power Disaster and again the construction slumbered. On the other hand, the suspended construction caused the energy crisis and a new idea of energy mix got introduced including renewable energy. In that sense of “mix”, the construction of third-generation nuclear power plant, which secures more safety, is getting started in the world.

Our company has been manufacturing high share of expansion joints for domestic nuclear power plants. Before Fukushima Nuclear Power Accident, in order to develop the overseas market share, we made a project team to obtain the ASME-NPT certification (ASME was becoming a de-facto international standard for nuclear power plant) and have been working on the certification.

Now we have obtained ASME-NPT certification in September, 2014.

In the world, there are very few of expansion joint makers that have the kind of certification. In Asia, only our company has.

We will contribute to the world nuclear industries with high reliable and high quality expansion joints based on strong quality assurance capability of ASME-NPT.

ASME is abbreviation for The American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
It is a private organization which promotes the standardizations in the domain of mechanical engineering. The codes such as Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) are authoritative ones in US and many other countries in the world.
